I was at a conference last month and one of the main speakers talked about gratitude and it being directly tied to happiness. I am not a psychologist and I don't have the time or resources to conduct a study on gratitude so I took some time to read some articles on the topic (see links at bottom of this blog).
The common theme is that people who are grateful are generally happier people. We can do some things to help improve your feelings of gratitude. Could be writing thank you notes, writing in a gratitude journal, thankful prayer and many more things. I guess if I look at all of the people I know I would generally agree with their scientific results. Maybe you would to.
That's the cliff note version but I encourage you to read one or all of the articles linked to get much more thoughtful insight than I can provide on the topic.
Short and sweet blog this month.
Be thankful and have a great thanksgiving!
